Danielle Bologna knows the price we can pay if we turn our back and ignore California's growing gang problem.
Bologna lost her husband Tony of 21 years along with sons Michael, 20, and, Matthew, 16, in a cold-bloodied killing that would stun even chroniclers of society's underbelly such as Truman Capote.
The suspect is a 21-year-old member of the notoriously violent El Sobrante street gang. Press reports describe the suspect as a family man with two children.
Police believe the three were killed because the shooter didn't like the fact that the husband had temporarily blocked his ability to make a left turn on a residential street in San Francisco. It didn't matter that the husband backed up after a few seconds to clear the way. It didn't matter that witnesses said there were no gestures or other type of visual contact made by the three victims.
