Gangs spreading to suburbs, deputy says

Gang activity is increasing in Mission Hills, a spillover from Lompoc's gang problem that is being driven by rising housing prices on the Central Coast, according to Deputy Clayton Turner of the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department's Gang Unit.

Turner said gang members in Mission Hills have been arrested recently for graffiti and retaliatory assaults against rival gang members.
